IT4IT™ Foundation Training is a two-day classroom based training program that provides a structured approach to designing, sourcing and managing services in a Value Chain-based framework.
The Open Group IT4IT Reference Architecture standard comprises a reference architecture and a value chain-based operating model for managing the business of IT. It provides prescriptive guidance on how to design, procure and implement the functionality needed to run IT. The end-to-end, ‘how to’ emphasis of the IT Value Chain and IT4IT Reference Architecture also enables the state of services that IT delivers to be systematically tracked across the service lifecycle. IT4IT is the basis for the digital transformation within the IT and thus the basis for successful DevOps implementations.
The learning objectives focus on knowledge and comprehension of the terminology, structure and concepts of the IT4IT™ Reference Architecture. The course provides prescriptive guidance on the specification and interaction with a consistent service model backbone (common data model/context).
The course will ultimately prepare participants for IT4IT™ Foundation Certification, attained via a 40 question exam.
No formal prerequisites necessary. Basic Knowledge of Service Management will support.
